As some of you may know im taking part in a border princes campaign as the Great Dark Elves! After kind of getting shafted in the deployment department, im squished right between Beasts of Chaos and Orcs n Gobblins, and from the looks of it there going to be my main enemys at the time... mostly the Orcs but the Beasts may get in on it as well. I am very unfamilar with Orcs N goblins, and any tactical tips people can give me against the Green Skins would be great apricated.
Ouch man.. that's bad positioning. Harsh.
O&G can be a tough matchup, but there are several tips i can give to tackling succesfullly.
-Try MSU. If they aren't running too much cavalry it should help you a lot.
-Dark Riders are your friends! This is true against any army, but it's even more true against Orcs and Goblins.
-RBTs are good, and a Hydra might help you a lot if you play your cards right.
Just remember... THINK! Every movement, every charge, every THING must be carefully thought out. O&G aren't THAT tough, they can be beaten (easily once you start playing right). You'll do fine. Go and make Malekith proud!
I've heard about a tactic against Goblins.. Those fanatics are nasty. If you land with air close to their goblin-regiments they would have to release the fanatics, thus doing more damage on themselves. Havent tried it yet, so you do that
