    Witch Elves

I have 22 of the older style witch elves but no command group in there.
Should I invest in 2 of them and split my witches into 2 regiments or does it not matter about the command group?

Hmmm, it might be worth it. I vary rarely give my witches a standard, but the hag and a musician are a wonderful addition. I usually field them in units of 12 or 15, so in your case I would say it might be worth it grabbing a command blister.

I'd say invest in a couple of command groups and divide them into 2 smaller regiments of 14 (22+6), you don't actually have to use both units in game, but it makes it much easier if you do want to use all those witch elves. It might be interesting using the cauldron of blood with that as well.

Man, I wish I used those models for my dark eldar wyches, instead of the current dark elf witch elves, those ones suit the image I was looking for much more, but they weren't available, even for mail order from the UK, nobody stocks them.

Normally I would say get some command. However Im all about looks, and I think mixing the new & old models just wouldnt look good.
Theres no reason why you cant use a regular model as a unit champion. Same with musicians really.. Standard bearers are the only Command unit which really need the model..

Id say take a unit of 18 in 6x3 formation with full command. Or 12 in 6x2 with only a Hag & an upgrade.

it doesnt sound like you need to buy any more of them, unless you want 2 units in the same army, which I typically wouldnt reccommend unless you are playing a very themed army.

    Cheers

I am definatly considering getting a couple of command groups now.
The pic up top isnt actually my units mine are painted differently (and better i think).

I always buy them and not always use them see what works.
