I was thinking today.. How often do you have a great battle & want to tell the good folks of LO about it, but cant be screwed writing out a battle-report? (which has obligation to be a lengthy, detailed & well written piece of literature..)
Want to share your experiences in short form? here's the place!
Basically I want this to be a thread where people can drop by after a (Dark Elf) game, share a few quick notes about what happened, which units did well & not so well, and the like.
Heck! Just want to complain about how bad your luck was?, or just outright brag about how well you pulled off that flanking move?, by all means!
I think this is good chance to share experiences without the hassle of a battle-report. It could also help people to get a feel for which units are doing well & which arent, and also get some advice & learn a few things along the way.
I would also like people to post their results for Nemesis Crown campaign battles here, or my Nemesis Crown thread, once that's up & running.

Ha ha ha...
Give people time to respond!!
Well awhile back i played a game against our clubs leading man... top spot on the ranks in every game!!!
He plays his TK army and here he comes cantering across the battlefield towards my seemingly un-protected witch elves which i absolutely love!!!
And then the turn he chaarges... BOO!!! out pops 3 different assassins in 3 different units and i reveal shadowblade in a squad of 10 skeleton bowmen in his rear ranks... he quickly disperses the bowmen and charges and kills the hiding heirophant!!! the 3 assassins make the poor khemri regret charging the hapless witch elves!!
And whats more the cauldron of blood that the witch elves are centred around help them tear apart the khemri!!!!
Over all the game was great fun!!!!
3squads of witch elves each with an assassin and shadowblade as my lord was a fun and truly sneaky tactic!!!
The corsairs and Xbow wielding warriors did their part as well... all up it was a great game!!!
One point though, does shadow blade have the same leadership rule as regular assasains? as in he cant be the general. If so, an army must have a general, so you need at least one non-assasain character.

Im not to sure....
But to clarify when i aske dif i could use him he said yes asked the question and he said oh it doesnt matter ill let you use him as the general anyway....
But i am fairly certain he cant count as general!!!
Great thread idea! I was playing a small battle against my friend, who plays orcs and gobbos. His generals squad is sitting in front of my unit of spearmen with sorceress. I charged him, killed a third of his squad with black horror (cast on 3 dice) kill some more orcs, then watch as his general fails to hit with every single attack! His lackys only killed one elf too, so he broke and I ran him down. Priceless.
Don't worry too much about life-it isn't permanent.
They say that a space marine is superhuman, a hundred times more powerful than a normal man. Mon-keigh, one hundred times zero is still zero.
Do you hear the screaming? Its Edward Scissorhands wanking...
i just played a game in my local GW vs greenskins and my unit of 15 corsairs managed to smash through 3 goblin units twice thier size with only 5 casualties won me the game :ninja:
I just wanted to say that a unit of 20 corsairs with war-banner is suprisingly forgiving. I've misjudged silverhelms charge range and had them hit me in the flank, and then get stuck in CC for several turns because they couldn't get past the +2 static CR, and the occasional kill from the 2 hand weapons.
However, when they eventually broke the corsairs and hit the spearelves next to them, the spear warriors crumbled instantly.
If I'm gonna play that sloppy I really need to invest in some Black Guard, but hopefully that is a limited occurence.

yeah i actually much prefer corsairs to spear elves, they are a far more aggresive unit the spear elves and for only 2 points more per model and 4+ save vs shoot AND 2 handwepons it really makes them a kick ass unit
Fighting against Orcs, my level 4 High Sorceress on a Dark Pegasus casted Black Horror 4 times in one game. After the game was over, she counted for 28 dead Orcs and 2x dead Spear Chukka crews.
I was playing against Dwaves last week. I placed 2x RBTs in opposite corners of my deployment, both on hills. First turn they both killed a cannon crew each.
I charged a unit of 5x Iron Guts in the fron with 5x Cold One Knights with full Command and 6x Dark Riders in thier flank. After everything I only caused 1 wound and he smashed all my Cold One Knights and ran down my Dark Riders.
Yet again against Ogres, I was using Mengil's Manflayers. They were shooting up his army and somehow a lone Lead Belcher got in range and shot. He rolled a 10 and killed everyone except for Mengil.
On to the topic at hand i generally don't make battle reports because I only usually remember how much i won and lost by and maybe a few highlights from the game. However if i had a digital camera with me when I played i could probly provide excellent battle reports on the GW level just because i can look at the pictures and go oh yeah thats what happened.
I like both corsairs and warriors I believe they provide each a good role in the army. The spearmen usually my opponents have to wear own with attrition while I grind those spears into them. The Corsairs provide good shock troops charge in and rip stuff apart that isn't toughness four o better than a 4+ armour save.
