Well I'd like to know what models everybody uses for their Dogs of War armies. Maybe this can be some sort of collector guide for Dogs of War players.
Wizard and general can both be used as Empire Figs.
Same as Lords, paymaster can just have chests etc.
Pikemen, Converted Spearman
Crossbowmen, Empire Free company minis
Duellests, Empire Free company minis
Heavy cav, Empire knightly orders
Light cav, ????
Ogres, Ogre bulls
Dwarfs, Dwarf regiment
Norse Mararderes, Chaos Mararderes
Paymasters bodyguard, Men at arms
Cannons, Empire cannons
Post what you use and I will add them to the list.
for halfings use hobbits???? from the lord of the rings range??? (just an idea)
for hot-pots use....well i can only think of the hot-pot that GW makes
and for light cavaly, bretonian squires on horseback or kislev horse archers
Life is too serious to be taken seriously
well, lotr minis is not really a good idea, as it violates some sections of GW's agreements with the Tolkiens, and you won't be allowed to play with them in Tournaments and their stores.
Otherwise, give Mail Order a call, they have the old halfling models, and maybe the coolest model ever, the Hot Pot Catapult, this thing freaking rocks
As for light cav, maybe some minis in the Kislev range could fit?
Wait what? Where is this? And also what if I did conversions on them?Originally posted by CryoGenFX@Feb 21 2005, 03:17

According to this page, under the section conversions, first skull, it says: "Please do not combine our intellectual properties with IP owned by any third parties."
Now, LOTR is the intellectual Property of Tolkien Enterprises, and they have Licenced some of New Line Cinemas IP's as well...so there
Hmmm ok I see what you're saying but I think that only applies to other peoples minis seeing as Lotr Minis are made by Games Workshop. I may be wrong but lemme hear your take. I looked at the site and at the bottom of the minis it reads
"Copyright © Games Workshop Limited 2005 excepting all materials pertaining to the New Line theatrical productions: The Fellowship of The Ring; The Two Towers; and The Return of The King, © MMV New Line Productions, Inc. All Rights Reserved. The Lord of The Rings and the names of the characters, items, events and places therein are trademarks of The Saul Zaentz Company d/b/a Tolkien Enterprises under license to New Line Productions, Inc and Games Workshop Ltd. Games Workshop, the Games Workshop logo, Warhammer and the Warhammer 40,000 device are either ®, TM and/or © Games Workshop Ltd 2000–2005, variably registered in the UK and other countries around the world. All Rights Reserved. " I think they have dibs on the actual mini just not any of the info relating to the story or movie. What do you think? I'm not any good at this legal stuff I'm only 17.
About IP's:Concerning LOTR IPs:Please do not combine our intellectual properties with IP owned by any third parties.
This I interpret as a don't mix lotr and warhammer figs.3.THE LORD OF THE RINGS
Please note that we have taken licenses to make hobby wargames from third parties (being New Line Cinema and Tolkien enterprises). The IP contained in those properties is either not ours or not directly under our control. Accordingly, we are not able to allow anyone to use that IP in any way - it simply is not within our power. We suggest that you contact the IP owners directly if you wish to use their intellectual property.
In addition to that, simply asking a GW staffer, or any at the Warhammer World, or at a tournament (at least the official ones), they'll tell you that you won't get to play with them there. What you do in your gaming club, or other non-GW endorsed tournaments is your own business (though it's still illegal I might add).
Hope that clears it up
Marienburger with flail and bandage.
Converted brettonian knight.
Converted empire reigiment sarg. w/ mordhiem pieces such as the treasure chest etc. This is for my paymaster.
