Wizard Paragon Path Question

So I'm nearing lvl 11 with my wizard, and am not liking the paragon paths that i'm seeing. I'm going for the whole disable the enemies while my teammates kill them and none of the paragon paths really help me with that. I have also heard that I can take the paragon path of another class, what i'm interested in is an invoker path, and was wondering how I do that. Do I have to multiclass in invoker in order to take that path or what? If anybody answers i would be most greatful!

Take Blood Mage, use blood pulse and have a teammate drag the target, fear it away, command it, and generally ping pong it around the room until it's dead.
The damage just keeps stacking up with every square it moves.

Don't know about invokers though, not especially familiar with 4E.
