Here is my revised slayer army, what do you guys think?
-Axes of Kadrin
-Beastslayer, Deathblow, Vampireslayer
-MR of Skalf Blackhammer
-MR of Swiftness
-RO Snorri Spanglehelm
-Runic Standard with Strollaz Rune
Brotherhood of Grimnir x19
-2 x Giant Slayers
Trollslayers x 24
-1x Giant Slayer
Trollslayers x 24
-1x Giant Slayer
The aim of this army is to get in to CC as quickly as possible preferably 1st-2nd turn to avoid being shot apart by shooty or magic based armies. It will probably die a fair few times but it will be a blast doing it.
I usually dont play a character or lord but stick with 3-4 Dragon Slayers, so just trying something different for a change.
Let me know what you think guys!!
ps I think the exact points are maybe 1 or 2 out but it is a work in progress, thanks

Looks pretty solid should be interesting to see how it does against shooty armys hopefully u can get in fast enough lol but yea it should do quite well nothing really to change here!
3 Infantry Blocks is a bit light for 2000 points (especially for a combat army!).
Perhaps drop some Doomseekers for more Slayers?
Thanks for that advice, but I really enjoy the flexibility of the doomseekers and the added fear factor they provide.
I could make the units 20 strong and drop 2 doomies and make a 4th unit of slayers. I will try it out and see how it goes.
Ther army does suffer against shooty armies but hopefully using the strollaz rune and look snorri trolls I can get across to their deployment zone before too much damage is done to my boys
just a rules clarification. you can't combine the strollaz rune and the look snorri trolls rules. this is covered in the games workshop dwarf FAQ. its either the randomly generated move OR the fixed one from the stollaz banner. not both
spambot kill tally: 79
[16:19] <@Alzer> Arky's right though
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> I know he is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> He usually is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> Sometimes it's intentional.
[00:01] <+zubus> i love you, ya skirt wearin nothern monkey! ^_^
Thanks for that Arklite, I didnt know that. Havent been able to find the FAQ but I take your word for it on this matter. It will change slightly the way I play the slayers but I will still use the Look Snorri Trolls rule and think of a different runic standard to use.
The boys will still do their job and be a great army to play!!
ps Does anyone play Garagrim and is he worth taking? I like his ability to act as a Doomie on the charge and I love playing Doomseekers so he kinda fits the theme of the army. Let me know what you think
The Master Rune of Grungni is certainly a possibility and might be worth taking, but with only a range of 6 inches, its zone of influence may be small following the LST moves. Therefore I may forget taking a runic standard at all and spend the points on more troops to bulk out the units, Im not sure yet
It will take some play testing to hammer out the best all round list for the slayers. Im quite used to losing a lot of my boys to shooting as they run like fury towards a glorious death, so its not that big a deal.
