I need help. I have one army list that my friend made for me with the models I have (I got 2 Battle For Skull Pass boxes), it looks a little like this. Problem is that I get hammered in every battle I've played so far (against Daemons, Wood Elves and Warriors of Chaos) This is the list anyway:
+ Full Command
+ Full Command
Is it playable? What should be changed? How can I create a playable 2000p. list out of this? Ironbreakers seems nice. I'm having tons of problems with Tzeench Flamers BBQ:ing my shooters and then hide. I can't really seem to kill them off before he kills me. What can I do? I can't run as fast as them, so I can't charge them.
I like to play quite defensive, but perhaps not a compleate gunline, as noone will play against me if I use it. Suggestions?
Basic fact is that daemons are probably the cheesiest army you can shake a stick at so dont worry about loosing to them.
Warriors of chaos are the newest release so are going to be pretty cheesey until people get used to playing against them.
And wood elves, those dirty tree huggers have been a pain since the begining but with a little practice are beatable.
People will play a complete gunline, and if they dont its only the older armies who have yet to be unpdated as against the newer armies gunlines can struggle, so i dont recomend using a gunline army, and your also right in playing deffensive. People complaing about gunlines is line you complaining aout tree singing or army wide ward saves, its part of your armies background and tactics. Dwarfs punish enemies from affar with range missiles then pick off the weak units when they hit the block infantry, its just that that has become more difficult agasint more recent army releases from one reason or another.
your army actualy looks realy good for a 1k list. only thing i might change is your second cannon for an organ gun if you can afford it. it will make light work of wood elf skirmishers as at the moment you dont need to roll to hit with it, same with flamers of Tzeentch or any skirmisher, and at S5 armour piercing its -3 to any armour saves.
I promiss its not the list thats causing you problems but the armies you have come up against.
