I am having an 2000pt game against my friend and he is chaos. i know he has a Shaggoth and about 150 marauders loads of warriors some knights, warhounds and trolls.we have agreed to have 1 special character character each and i think hes either going to use the Shaggoth lord or the troll lord but i don't know which.
here is my army list:
Thorek ironbrow 505points
master rune of swiftness,
rune of fury,
rune of might
10 thunderers 140points
10 thunderers 140 points
20 warriors + sheilds + command 205 points
29 slayers 522 points
4 giant slayers
standard + musician
15 ironbreakers + command 225 points
organ gun 120points
gyrocopter 140 points
i intend to use the gyrocopter to stop them marching and it should work well against mauraders. the massive unit of slayers to go against any big monsters (Shaggoths and Trolls and Knights). I will use the anvil to inflict damage on the mauraders and use a rune to get the charge with the slayers to surprise my opponent. the ironbreakers and warriors will defend my thunderers and organ gun.
Using a daemon slayer as well as thorek ironbrow is not possible at 2000pts because it means you have 2 lord characters and 1 hero, Thorek taking up 1 lord and 1 hero which means u only have 2 hero slots left which means you cant take a daemon slayer because that is the lord slayer
I' would suggest maybe changing him for the dragon slayer which is a hero and maybe include a BSB
i meant to put dragonslayer cause i always get mixed up between those two and the points work out 4 dragonslayer to
shields on thunderers and a BSB and you've got an awesome list.
apart from that youve got way too many slayers. they might be unbreakable... so what? they arent hard hitting either.
reduce the number of the slayers. maybe even consider taking one unit of slayers. for those points you can take a unit of hammerers too. if you put the hammerers and the slayers on both flanks, and youve got a BSB you've also got 'unbreakable' flanks.
also you might want to conider taking something like a cannon or a Bolt thrower, as this always comes in handy especially things like shaggoths and thos kind of creepyt creatures.
hope this helps a bit.
