    1000 Point, Friendly

Hi there, this is my first Dwarf Army list, i'm fairly knew to them and i'm unsure what I need to do to the army.

The idea behind the army is: they are a fairly new clan made up of misfits from other clans. The misfits brought together all they could and are seeking the old treasures of their ancestors.

My proposed colors are Green and White, seeing as their not rich they won't have alot of Gold on them.

This is my list so far:

    Thane:
Master Rune of Gromril, Rune of Striking 100 pts

    20 Dwarf Warriors:
    Sheild 205 pts

    20 Dwarf Longbeards:
    245 pts

    Grudge Thrower:
    Engineer,
    Rune of Reloading,
    Rune of Accuracy,
    Rune of Penertrating 155 pts

    Organ gun:
    120 pts

    Total: 965 pts

I know i still have points left, should i spend them on runes? If so What ones?

I'm not too sure about having only two "steel walls", should i lose the organ gun and take a third.... or maybe some thunderers?

    Dose everything hang together?

The list seems pretty solid to me. But I think your thane needs a bit of re-tooling. If you give him a shield and the rune of stone he can have a 2+ armor save for just seven points. That will save you quite a few points. Also, do you really need the extra weapon skill? If you usually fight challenges I wouldn't be opposed to it but WS six is already plenty high so the rune of striking seems a bit redundant. The I usually use a thane with HW + Sheild, Rune of Stone, and Rune of Fury. You get a tank of a hero that puts out four WS six attacks.

Thanks for the advice, I see what you mean, In general i think ill use your idea. But one of the guys i play against loves his Dark elf assassins, I'm worried they culd make light work of the thane...
