Hi, thinking about getting dwarfs as i still play 7th ed and my main opponents are VC, Chaos tzeentch, DE of which are all magic heavy armies and all have some heavy calvary, cold ones, chaos knights and blood knights.
Great weapon, rune of stone
Rune of battle
That's 1000pts with 5 dispel dice which should block the majority of enemy spells. I have the option to have either 10 crossbowmen or 10 hammerers. However if i do get 10 hammers i will have to minus the musician from the longbeards squad. Note that i almost always play 1000pts.
What do you think?
Any advice or tips i should know?
New to Dwarfs so all comments and advice needed, thx LO.
First things first. You can't have more units of longbeards than you have warriors (less You're using a different army book). I'm not totally sure on the rules of 7th edition, but i would go with more shooting, as Calvary tends to be faster then most other elements of the army, you will get to focus all your shooting on that unit till it arrives, it will either be to weak to do much since dwarfs are pretty hardy, or destroyed which will defiantly be a good portion of the their army. then resort to widdling down the other parts.
