Some of the runes on the heroes are illegal. You cannot take three RoStone on a single character, it states this in the rune description itself. It does however allow you to have multiple characters with 'just' a RoStone on their armour.
On your Runelord, the RoSpeed is quite pointless. You don't want him in combat and it serves you better to have him hard to kill. I would suggest: shield; RoStone, RoPreservation, RoResistance. Gives him a 2+ re-rollable save and immunity to KB. A ward save would be nice, but not a requirement. You're better off giving him runes you have; MRoBalance and probably 2xRoSpellbreaking. He is the anti-magic guy of the list.
I would drop the dragon slayer, he's too easy to kill. The only reason to have him is naked and near artillery as a deterrent. The other Thanes, one really should be the BSB. Again go heavily armoured, the MRoGromril, RoResistance and RoPreservation is a good combo. The second one.. well, keep him, make him a Runesmith for some serious anti-magic or drop him for points elsewhere.
Your longbeards are too small. They really need to be 20 strong at minimum. The same applies to the warriors, you're better off having closer to 30 of them. You can loose some and still be steadfast.
The thunderers don't need full command, in fact it is usually better to not take banners on missile units as it is often looked at as free VPs. I'd make these 10 man, musician only. The banner should be with the warriors/longbeards to help with combat.
The slayer unit is really too small. They should really be nearer 30 strong if you want to take them, but in general, you are better off leaving them at home and buying more warriors/hammerers.
The cannon is good, but the RoReloading isn't really needed and makes it rather expensive.
I don't mean to be rude, but there are just some things that work and others don't. I would suggest playing with your list and then trying it out with different opponents. After, sit down and review on the list, then try and change it and see how that works.
Thats 1 hell of a feedback lol
A few things since I did the list, Ive found a second cannon so crew provided might take a second cannon
Didnt realise about the RoStone guess will have to read abit closer lol
I like slayers and only have the 10 models at the moment, was hoping to get them into combat quickly with the Anvil and the ASF rule on my dragon slayer and 3 attacks each wounding on no worse than a 4 means they should kill a few things before getting their honourable death
The idea behind the RoSpeed on the Runelord is I thought his anvil is likely to get attacked also doesnt initiative help out against some spells if they get them through
I have no other models than this, the only unit option would be to stick longbeards and Warriors together and have less units, means my army is more rigid but might work
If I do this then the champion in the thunder unit with pistols might prove useful as they will end up in a fight
1 question as I dont have the book to hand, can a BSB hold a handgun and a runed standard?
A second cannon is a good idea, helps against monsters, chariots, warshrines etc
That's fine, it is an easy mistake to make for newer players.
That's fair enough, but I would say don't be surprised if they get picked on quickly. They're easy VPs, T4 and no save doesn't make for a tough unit unless you have the quantity of them.
Hm, I don't know if the weapon works that way. It might do, but bear in mind that the anvil will auto-fail those tests due to it being classified as a war machine. I'd save the points and instead go for protection. Remember that the anvil doesn't require LOS, so he could hide out the way behind a big ol' hill and still help out.
This is true, a big unit like that could well work but reduce some of your flexibility. It's worth playing with the list to see how you find it, then changing something and seeing how that fits.
Off hand, I don't believe he can. There is a list that a BSB can take, and I don't know if he can. On another note, I'd avoid runic banners on the BSB. It makes him very vulnerable and easy to kill, while making him rather expensive. This is because he's stuck with a 4+ save and no other protection.
