BsB light armour
Mro gromril ro resistance
Gromril armour shield
2X rune of spell breaking Ro stone
Gromril armour shield
Mro balance Ro stone
25 dwarf warriors
25 dwarf warriors
ive decided to go with 25 strong warrior units to see how they compare to units of 20 (i will give results some time in the future)
19 Hammerers (dwarf lord here)
rune of slowness
18 iron breakers (one runesmith and BsB here)
rune of battle
two units of elite dwarves. not much more to say other than die!
Ro forging rune of fire
bolt throwers 2
2X runes of penitraiting 1X master rune of skewering
my first time using my gyro should give me a chance of mayhem alongside my rangers =]
points : 2998
dispel: 7 +2 scrolls
models in army:143
of which are combat units:104
of which are shooting units:35
of which are lords/heroes: 4
this list is ment for take all commers and is leaned towards shooting with several hard close combat units (2 elites have done very very well in the past , not to mention causing my foe to quiver a little) the addition of the gyro should help disrupt my foe and probebly draw out fanatics etc. (also be used as a decoy deployment ie. set it up first on one end of the table and then set up the rest of the army at the other end)
the general plan will be to set up a heavy defencive line and pound them until they come to me.
comments would be welcome

cool, have you actually got this army? u just gave me an idea 4 my thread, adding things in... loike why i put em! THNX!
btw i think dat de army is coooooooooooooool! he he, like saying that...
looks pretty good, does the other runesmith just go on his own?
anyways this looks pretty good, i dont really like cannons, i think stone throwers are better, but then again ive never played anything so high in pointage. also would you want another lord? again im not sure whether its worth it but since its available maybe just some to think about. it looks very good tho good mix of warriors, shooting, elites, and war machines. good luck in your gaming!
note to self: salamander LOVES stone throwers. you keep going onna bout them, lol
A trick to save alot of points in an army, is to avoid unit champions (paying the points of a full model for an extra attack isn't worth another able body) unless they give you a certain benefit (extra strength, point of Leadership, etc.) this way you can usually afford a an extra unit
Keep that cannon, stone thrower can only complement them, they also scatter on 2 axis.
You should give that lord a ward, KB is something you don't want to see coming your way, and a Rune of Stone.
You ahve solid infantry blocks, but nearly not enough flanking units. Drop the BTs, rangers to 10-12 with a musician, and unit champions and try to squeese in 2 12-15 strong units of warriors with great weapons, Heavy armour and musician.
i disagree wityh ya wolf, i think those solid infantry squads cud cut down plenty of enemies whilst taking only a few casualties in return, but i would consider adding a few more men (about 4) to the bow men, these guys can take down shielding units (such as warhounds) and then your thunderers can unleash hell on the unit behind, i would give your lord the master rune of gromil and light armour and the thane gromil armour and mro swiftness, unless you don't wish your lord to be able to take out elite units, thats what i use mine for, he's normally in a unit as well in fact, don't do that, but shred down ne runes on ur artillery to get more guys 4 ur units, these rankl and file guys get really annoying to ne horde armies (such as orks) use the gyro to take out ne artillery your opponent may have, if faceing dark/high elves with thier bolt throwers, TAKE OUT THEIR CREW QUICKLY! dwarves are too valubale to have being speared by hundereds of arrows, they are a serious threats against your own artillery, and also take off some of their cavelry, then when their down ta a unit of 4 and the character, shoot down the character with the bolt thrower.
oh yeh: DON'T TRUST ELVES.
take my ideas and use them if u wish, but its a good army.
I disagree, 4-6 S3 attacks has never cut down many foes, and having some flanking units will prevent being flanked as well, and if that happens, they'll be running in no time.
well, mine do, after your opponent has been thined down greatly, you can beat off the remaining 12-14 men, also if your a dwarf, flanking forces won't be MUCH trouble, and if you counter them then your opponent is running.
