    2000 Pts Dwarfes Vs Ogre Kingdom

    Okay this is my first army list that I post in here, so any comments (both good and bad) are most welcome!

    All the time i've been playing with the dwarfs, I have never tried the Anvil of doom. So this time I wants to give it a try!


    Lords/Heros

    Rune Lord

    Have also brought the Anvil of Doom and two Anvil Guards.

    Power dice(w00t :tongue: ) = 1D6+2
    Dispel Dice = 6

    I think im gonna deploy in a line formation with like this:

    Warriors #16, Cannon, Ironbreakers, Anvil of Doom, Longbeards, Thunders, Warriors #20

    If the terrain allowes it, im gonna deploy like this. (unless you have other suggentions )

    Also i've heard that some of you would prefer units without the Champion, so im gonna give that I try and see how it works.

    The only major suggestions I can make are as follows:

    Change the Rune Lord for a Dwarf lord and drop the anvil of doom. You can fit him out with some nasty attacking equipment and armour to protect him.

    The extra points from the anvil could be used to invest in a second unit of thunderers, to blast the ogre lines to pieces. I would also make the Dwarf warrior indentical units of 20 to make them more difficult for the ogres to kill in close combat.

    Thx for the comment, but as I said in the beginning of my post, I wanted to make an army where I would try with some magic. Or in other words, the Anvil of Doom.

    my suggestion is to make the tunderers a block of 16, that way you can reform into a block of 16 when charged, also i think that you should take out he ironbreakers, and replace them with 2 warrior groups, as well as switching the cannon with a ST with rune of accuracy and rune of pen

    I also thought of that idea with the Thunders, but couldnt find the points so made it that large. Think im gonna stick with the cannon though...I've had more luck with that, than the ST.
    But about that RoK...I couldnt really make up my mind about that one. Ya think I should keep it on, take another rune or try and spend the points elsewhere?

    I woudl advise against 16 thunderers, 12 is fine, as 16 starts to become hindering to setup, and expensive points if they get caught.

    If you want more magic the DoW wizards, and the Dark Emissary or amazon priestess.

    Okay thx but I have another question...you think I should take away the Rune of Kadrin on the Ironbreakers and spend them on something else?

    making them immune to psychology with the rune of courage will make sure they don't run from fear on a bull charge, afterwards wou'll probably win combat, just hold that charge.

    ill have to say is take a stone thrower or better yet 2 the d6 wounds is just to much to pass up against ogres
