Ok this is my listing combining a vibrant discussion of unit size with an example of a big unit list. Everything is legal and I think more like the way that dwarves would really fight with a few larger units and less of this i-bought-one-of-everything-and-i-am-oing-to-use-em rubbish.
Check it out people!

What? How can you go on about a list without posting one?
"Well... that hurt" - Vampire Jon Skellan (Mannfred's right hand man) after being beaten up, falling down an underground waterfall and being impaled by a stalactite.
Imo I think your units are too big, but thats your concept with this army so I will just leave it with that.
However. Think your Lord havent got that nice runes. 5+ ward save, one re-roll and fire attacks. Arent gonna do much damage nor will he survive long against a tooled up character. Try giving him a rune of resistance or something that can lower his armour save.
You could also try and give a bit more punch. Perhaps with master rune of swiftness or a rune of cleaving or give him a GW. Just something

dwarf Lords are among the best characters in the game point for point. When you buy a vanilla dwarf lord he will beat almost any other general character. I don't see the point in throwing this advantage away by spending so many points tooling him up when he is already hard enough. That would be too many eggs in one model which can be avoided or even slain by magic or missiles.
I think the 1+ save and the 5+ ward are good protection. He has plenty of attacks and a good strength value. Plus he is in a decent unit so it's not as though people are not going to worry about going up to him and bopping him one, you have to fight the 38 stubborn, fearless, terrorless, Battle Standard re-rolling Hammerers he comes with too...
I think there may be slightly too many hammerers.
Oh yeah about the hammer thingy on your lord. Well I hope you also have a HW because if you dont, you are left alone with a 3+ instead of a 1+, which imo isnt very good. In addition to that you also strike last. And yes hes very high on strenght and so on, but what if you counter someone with a weapon that ignores armour save? Lets say 3 hit go all the way. 3 hits and your gonna save em with a +5.
Just saying that imho your lord should be better equiped, but if your confident that its going to work then no problem there. Its just what I think..
I disagree that a vanilla dwarf lord can beat most other races generals. For proof see Vampires (both counts and lords), chaos lords, Ogre Tyrants and Black Orcs.
The problem with this army is the size of that main unit. Being slow across a battlefield the Dwarves will suffer losses against most armies missile fire. The missile fire you posses will only last 2 turns against any army with flyers or a terror causing beasty. then you have 3 units of slow moving troops that will be out flanked and out maneuvred by pretty much any army in the game. It's a nice idea, but I don't think it will work.
New LOChat functions now avaliable.

Thanks for your comments people let me approach them one by one.
As to the Lord, he has a hammer, not a great hammer. Since a hammer is a hand weapon and it is non-magical he gets his 1+ armour save. Second unless I really am an idiot weapons that ignore saves are quite expensive. So more fool my opponent for spending 50 or more points to attack someone when they only have 60% chance of getting through his armour anyway...
Are dwarf generals better than most? Yes, point for point, defintiely. Sure a Chaos Lord is a nightmare in combate but without encyclopaedic knowledge of the rules I think they are also shockingly expensive too...
3 err I have forgotten, let me take another look...
oh on the Chaos Lord/ Vampire note I'm sure the hammerers would have a word or two to offer any character that came along a killed their cherished lord right in front of them. I am sure it would involve offerring to let him take a closer look at the business end of their warhammers...
As to marching off to the enemy. Don't be ridiculous. I am staying put. Strollaz rune is for getting into position if needed. But this army is all about frocing you to come to them and then beati8ng you into paste when YOU finally arrive to get some. Why should I go anywhere, what are you going to do? Shoot at big blocks of heavy armoured shield carrying dwarfs? You need to kill ridiculous numbers to get a panic test and when you do there are longbeards on hand...
This army is not flexible, but it is Dwarven.
Let the long-legged idiots come to us, that's what i say!
