i plan on playing defensively, of course, having a strong line, with the hammerers on the flank, then warriors, longbeards warriors, and my BSB behind my line giving everyone +1 to CR, my anvil will probably be right next to him. ill probably have my warmachines firing b/w my units, then when the enemy gets close ill move up my line to protect them.

Beer, Pipes, and Guns... Dwarves had the right idea.
In an anvil army, you should design a few units specificly for flanks. 12-15 man units, slayers are nice for this, and so are warriors as they end up very cheap with great weapons and musician.Originally Posted by Grungni
A rune of shielding will make your runelord impervious to cannonballs, or and missiles for that matter. I think you could trade in the spelleater rune of 2 runes of spellbreaking, you should only consider it when you have others runes to back you up.
I never lied the scatter shot nature of the flamer cannon, and combined with it's short range, a cannon will serve you better.
