I Am going to participate in a tournament in theupcoming month. And I Want to Know various opinios about the list:
Some points arent exectly acurate because i dont have the book with me.
RuneSmith, Shield, GromilArmor+rune of stone =around 79
Warriors X 16, Shield =169
Warriors X 16, Great _Weapons = 185
Thunderers X 10, Shield= 150
Thunderers X 10, Shield= 150
LongBeards X 16 =270
Ironbreakers X 15= 240 (Runesmith goes here)
Canon = 135
Rune of Forging
Flame Canon = 140
Total... mmmmmmm 1518, I think i miscalculated something, but I will look for it later.
I think i am going to play something like this, i dont know if the artillery is ok, or i need more. maybe i can replace the longbeards with bolttrowers and add Enginiers. Help please.
I am going to face:
Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts, Caos, Beasts of Chaos, Dark Elves, and Maybe Bretonia.
Your list is a little confusing: Longbeards aren't special, they are core. Flame Cannons are Rare. Good thing, cause otherwise you'd have too many special choices.
The flame cannon is going to be pretty worthless against everything but maybe beasts, cause the other armies are high leadership and won't panic much (undead won't at all). I'd make the cannon flaming instead.
id have to disagree here, if anything the flame cannon is a great choice fr fighting against those armies. The flame cannon is going to be pretty worthless against everything but maybe beasts, cause the other armies are high leadership and won't panic much (undead won't at all). I'd make the cannon flaming instead.
tombkings: large low T units are a great target for the flame template and if you cause enough damage you can save from those annoying auto-break tests.
Vampcounts: same thing really, fire it at large skellie or zombie units and watch the burning mess.
chaos: probebly not so great against chaos, but still handy. the S5 is useful against T4 chaos after all, and if you cause enough wounds you could pull them down.
beasts: really good against these guys due to low LD and the templates edge in killing those anoying skirmishing forces.
darkelves: the average DE warrior has average toughness with a low save..... the flame cannon wounds them on a 2+ and ignores their saves. i think you can figure out the rest
as for the list, you would really not need the runesmith at this stage, swap him for a thane with great weapon and rune of stone. (i mean 4 de-spell dice works until the 2000 point stage unless your foe spends almost all his points in magic (at worst you will face 7 powerdice and a very VERY small army.) id also drop one of the two thunderer units then use the points to bring your warrior units up to 20 strong as well as your longbeards. give the ironbreakers a rune of stoicism as well if you can.
spambot kill tally: 79
