Please don't post points per unit without upgrades, this violates GW copyright and LO rules. Thanks!
Lord & Hero
Dragon Slayer Pts...90
Master Rune of Kragg the Grim, Rune of Cleaving
16 Dwarf Warriors Pts...169
Shields, Full Command
16 Dwarf Warriors Pts...185
Great Weapons, Full Command
5 Slayers Pts...
TOTAL = 499 Points
I'm trying to go for the Assault Dwarf Force, using only small fire power in larger armies such as the organ gun (to stear enemies into the ranks of my untis or to catch those unwary flankers) and possibly the gyrocopter (Stopping those march moves is invaluable for an assault dwarf force =D).
I also have a 1,000 Points and 1,500 Points list ready, ill add them in when i have the time, but this is all i had time for at the moment.
Constructive critisism welcome, Thanks in Advance for anyone putting in their 2cents! =D

It looks nice and this is a very interesting idea, but you probably would need to stick to 5 per rank rule more. Maybe drop that Dragon Slayer for the Thane and those great weapons to get some point to make it to 20 Warriors each. And just upgrade one of the slayers to Giant Slayer.
I don't know... maybe something like this:
THANE (General, Rune of Stone, shield) 72
Warriors 19 (full command, shields) 196 (Thane's unit)
Warriors 15 (full command, shields) 160
Trollslayers 5 (Giantslayer) 70

[16:20] <@Kaiser-> He usually is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> Sometimes it's intentional.

If you following standard army rules your army still needs a general. Slayer types cannot act as your armies general (bottom of pg33 of your army book). You need a thane, runesmith, of master engineer to lead your army.
The only honorable options left to we combatants is seppuku or semantics...which amount to the same thing really.
yep, he cant be the general, he can fight alone but you still need a cheap thane or somebody. I would say drop the great weapons as well, boost up your numbers.
with just 500 points, I'm not sure it's smart to run such large bodies of dwarves. They will easily be surrounded and loose any rank bonuses. In a really small game (under 1000) Dwarf gunners/xbows are really nasty (any good shootin' is) They can still stand there and take it when charged and they can dish out 2-3 turns of shooting.
If you're doing warband rules, you can field units of 5 of them. That makes it really tought to handle. You can target several different units and kill most flyers and fast units and then sit back and hammer the rest of the army at leisure.
Units of 16 are a bit strange, in 7th edition rules you need multiples of 5 for rank bonus. As said before, a dragon slayer can't be a general, you'd need standard thane.
In 500 points, you should probably go a little shootier, marching dwarf armies come into their own when they can get an Anvil of Doom or Strollaz Rune on a BSB, and you can't really afford either in 500 points.
Arena of Death Champion: Nexim of the Guldskullz Tribe. Fear my wrath!
Hmmmm, your right i didnt realise that the general couldnt be a slayer. Pewrhaps i could drop my DS, dropo the great weapons and 1 of thier unit and squeeze in a thane to leade the unit.
what is this you need 5 in a rank anyways?? ive seen plenty of forces 4x4 in models, what effect does this do by not having 5's. Thanks in advance ill see if i can reconstruct my list.
thanks for the critisism it helped alot
Dwarfs may be short and stumpy, But they're BIG where it counts! Age, Wealth and Skill are important to any dwarf, but the fresh refurbishing taste of ale tops them all!
