I am in the nemesis crown but dont really have an army atm- and i need one! so, i wrote an army list, but i dont really know if it will work or not- thoughts or changes please!
1 Thane- shield, master rune of smiting,rune of speed (137)
1 Dragon slayer- Rune fury, Rune cleave, Rune speed (105)
16 warriors- full com, shields (16
12 warriors- full com, shields (132)
10 Thunderers- full com (165)
8 miners- full com, steam drill (13
1 cannon- rune reloading, rune forging (135)
Any thoughts? please comment- Dwarfs need to win nemesis crown!
Hey, I would definately try to get both units of warriors upto 15 strong for the rank bonus. You could shave points from the thunderers, they only realy need a musician if any command at all.

Hey thanks for the advice, but what is a rank bonus and what does it do- sorry i have not played fantasy many times.

Please read the BRB (basic rule book), close combat section, for rules on ranks and rank bonus. The concept is fairly fundamental to the game, especially with a dwarf army.
As for the army, once you have more models (not just skull pass), I'd get rid of command on the thunderers and miners. They'll just award VP (victory points) to the enemy if they are defeated in CC (Close combat).
A single rune of forging is usually sufficient protection for a cannon.
With the points you save, I'd get more warriors to bulk up your units to 20-25 strong.

drop some runes, points are probably better spent elsewhere, definitely get the units up to 15 at the minimum, though try for 20
Equip your thane with;
MRo Gromril / 2x Ro Iron / Great weapon. = 124
This gives you a 1+ armour save with a 5+ ward, hitting at strength 6. You’re not going to get the charge in being a dwarf so your better off making sure you survive and then kill whatever you hit.
Don’t need Rune of speed on your Dragon slayer either really. Sure you’re probably going to charge with him so hitting first, but your only T4, with 2 wounds and no armour, so if lots of attack are aimed at you your going to go down quickly, not forgetting missile fire, unless you keep him well hidden your opponent is going to rustle up a nice 105pts for very little work. Maybe just keep him without runes and spend the points elsewhere. You can still pull out 4 S4 attacks or 3 S6 at WS6-7. on average your going to hit and wound on 3s anyway so don’t bother with runes.
Drop a rune from the cannon, your just making it another expensive target that could blow up in your face. Do invest in an engineer and give him a brace of pistols. Your cannon now has a crew of 4, a guy at BS4 who can shoot two pistols when charged and gets an extra attack in combat, with a reroll on the misfire chart. Worth every point.
Try and squeeze a rune smith in there even if just for the extra dispel dice and give him a great weapon. Great weapons make things go squish and stay squished.
