Hi i'm just wondering were i should go now. I just bought the Dwarf Army box ( the one thats $175 dollars). Well I bought that and a Dwarf lord with a great weapon. Im going to buy the army book soon but that is the last thing ill buy because i can use the one at my local store for awhile. But what units should I buy next, and most important how should I make the models i got so far. I have no particular way I want to play them so ill need some help with how to use Dwarfs also. Thank you for your help.
Here is the link to what I bought. http://store.us.games-workshop.com/s...380&GameNav=13
Your best bet, honestly, is to crawl around in the Dwarf Army List forum (Link) and find something that looks appealing to you. Getting a feel for what you want in your army takes a bit of trial-and-error, so don't hesitate to ask your opponents if you can proxy a few units before you commit to buying them.
OI! what’s an elf doing in my part of L-O!
oot you go ya skirt wearing pansy!

Right now that we have that interloper dealt with lets get things started right and proper.
Right. From what i can tell you have a nice solid starting force. with 3 combat units 4 missile units and some war machines.
Right off the bat this army looks like a defensive one and nothing wrong with that for a beardling such as yourself (most people are attracted to us through the guns and runes after all). But I would like to comment that the greatest strength of a dwarf army is its infantry, never forget that. In wfb it’s near impossible to win a game through shooting alone and the few armies that can do it are dull and uninteresting.
Taking this into consideration I recommend you first expand the number of warriors in your army to 2 units of 25 and 1 unit of 20 long beards. After that have a look for one of the special choice infantry units; hammerers, ironbreakers and slayers.
Once you have a good solid core of troops try to build your shooting around them.
That be my advice

(I’ve written extensively on such subjects and links can be found in my signature [just under the dwarf logo])

Everyone raves about the Anvil of Doom and how it has made the Dwarf army disproportionately tough. So try checking that out.
