    Dwarf Lands

    Greetings all,

I normally play Lizardmen, but when I was first deciding on an army I had my eye on the power of the Dwarfs. I went with Lizards and am now switching to the bearded folk. I was wondering if there are any lands that most people don't normally have their dwarfs come from. I was looking at either an Icebound Hold or a Desert surrounded hold. For the Icebound dwarfs, I was thinking Ice Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Skull White and Space Wolves Grey. But just trying to figure out some back story or if that would be accepted as a good dwarf place.

    Thanks for any help.

Below is an official map with a list of dwarf holds. There are a number in the north, high north, I believe the furthest being Kraka Drak. There are few south, there is a fabled hold further south. Dwarfs stay in the mountains because its where they find jewels, gold and metals.

Thank you for the map King Ulrik Flamebeard. I have decided to create a hold for my army situated in the far northern mountains, not as far north as Kraka Drak but still in the Kislev region. Going to name is Karak Wyr (White Mountain). What do you think about the color scheme of using mainly blues and greys though? or should I add in other colors or brighter colors?

Blue and grey is good. Blue is a very common Dwarf colour. Using the name as a base, white, blue (probably light) and greys seems a very good way of theming them. You going with snow bases as well?

They do snow flock in GW still, I believe. However, you'd be better off with going to a railway shop (the hobby), you can get great big buckets of it for about the same as the smaller GW stuff. Or the cheaper option of using Bicarbonate of Soda.
