Hi my first battle. I need tactics for dwarf vs. lizardmen
my army list:
ten longbeards W\master rune grungi and full command
thunders w\full command
Saurus warr x12
Spawning of Sotek + Tlazcotl 224
Skink skrimishers x6x2
Skink brave 65
Scar veteran x1
Scimitar of the sun
Light armor + sheild
Blessed mark of the old ones
Spawning of quetzl 189

oh,yeah and for mine:thane w\rune of restaince, master rune of swiftness and grudge rune
Just as a note you cannot have one unit of longbeards without at least one unit of warriors unless you have a Dwarf Lord, also you will need to add a Thane or Runesmith as you have to have a character to act as your general. What is the total point value you are playing at?

As Vargrim21 said, you cannot have Longbeards if you don't have first one unit of Warriors.
Also you need a Hero to act as your General.
Personally I would get a Thane (only against VC you will need Runesmith below 1000 points) lightly kitted to cost less than 100 points.
Then the rest should be an Organ Gun, and 3 X 15 Warriors with full command.
Points allowed I would replace one unit with Ironbreakers. Even horde armies will have tough times.
this list is mainly stand back&shoot.I just ussaly hit them with the cannon & thunders and when he charges just hold out.
You will really want to bring an organ gun against lizardmen as the cannon is not going to be able to kill many skinks and all shooting is less reliable against skirmishers, the organ gun however hits automatically so it can just mow skinks down. And yeah a Thane is the ideal general here because if that is his full list then he has no magic to throw at you anyway; although you would be surprised at how often you need a Runesmith around 1000 points I got surprised by a Orc and goblin player once who brought in two level two shamans at 1000 points.
