are wrath & ruin hits considered "shooting" hits?

    see title

i ask because i can't seem to confirm whether it's true or not. it makes a difference against things like high elf white lions, skaven jezzails, certain magic items including rune of shielding etc

    thanks in advanced!

I cannot find an FAQ that states categorically one way or the other, not even the GW FAQ. However, as the description says that the rune is cast in the shooting phase and hits are distributed as shooting hits, I would consider it a safe bet they were intended to be shooting hits. So, I would say yes, it is a shooting attack and thus protection against these attacks would be valid for use against it.

That's the way I have read it and always played it. I forgot about the half movement that affects the target too it just got better.
