Question about Master Rune of Swiftness

If my dwarf lord or thane is using a Great Weapon with the master rune of swiftness does he still strike first?

If you put just the MRoSwiftness on his Great Weapon then it no longer counts as a great weapon and you lose all benefits therewith.

If you want to keep the great weapon's benefits you must put on Master Rune of Kragg the Grimm but then you cannot place another Master Rune on it.

Remember also that you can only place up to three runes on a weapon.

But you could give your axe a master rune of swiftness and two runes of cleaving so he strikes first at strength 6 and doesn't attack last.
