I don't understand why someone would use an engineer... can someone explain this to me?
They aren't good figthers, extra crewman seems useless, if they have a handgun or something it seems like a waste.. one ranged attack, and then they can't even use artillery master. And artillery master doesn't seem worth 65 points, cause for a bolt thrower thats more than the original bolt thrower, and for the others its increasing the weapons' cost by more than half!

Erm.. we don't. I'm yet to here of someone using one, unless they plan to make it a themed army. He is useless, unless placed with a ST or Cannon. The extra guess range shot can be very useful.
geuss what ulrik here i am an engineer can actually be very good in combat give him a great weapon and some gromril armor team him up with an artillary unit with the rune that makes the crew unbreakable and you then can hold off those pesky flyers and fast cavelry like a dream, not to mention that extra guess (it let me get rid of a pesky hell blaster).
