How do I take out the stupid frogs? My friend will be taking one with lore of metal for sure just to kill me.
I was thinking 2 STR 7 bolt throwers and a cannon. Will that work?
Most likely not, the slann has a very decent ward save. Not much you can do about his magic except - give all characters the Rothe Furnace, that way he can't snipe them with spells (make them immune to fire, which the character hunting spells from that lore have built in). Otherwise, save your dice for spells that will ignore armour or stop your shooting (unless he can recast the same spell mulitple times, you should just have to fear the single war machine going down).
Or for a real nasty surprise, RoSpelleatering + RoLuck. 4+ to dispel and destroy, with a re-roll.
Other than that, I don't have experience against Lizards. Sorry.

Destroy the templeguard unit. Try and line up an organ gun opposite them and reap the bloody rewards. Once they are down the slann is much more vulnerable and can be eaten in combat.
Though it is very boring, best way for dwarfs to beat lizards is to castle up and shoot away.
IIRC the slaan has a 2+ ward, I guess machines won't work
4+ ward save. You're just gonna have to kill his temple guard unit. Only way to get to him.
There's a 30 point or something upgrade to make the save 2+ against missiles.
Actually he's right. There is a 30 point enchanted item for slann only called the divine plaque of protection that increases the 4+ ward to a 2+ against ranged attacks.
