    That New Boxed Set Smell

So I finally caved and bought the Dwarf boxed set. I already put together one unit of warriors with great weapons, and while they look pretty beardy and badass, I'm hoping I didn't jump the proverbial gun on this one. Should I be putting hand weapon and shields on these guys, or are they good with the great weapons? Secondly, should I have two units with great weapons or both with hand weapon and shields, or a mix. If anyone could lend advice this fledgling general would greatly appreciate the help.

    Love,
    Uzzary

I think Warriors are mandatory GWs. The Parry Save isn't worth the lacked offense, you now have to actually do damage not just hold out with a good save forever. Long Beards can work both ways, personally I like them with HW+Shield because S4 is good and they're a bit more expensive so the Parry becomes more useful, although GWs still aren't bad depending on block size.

I've started mixing them up a bit. Put a half and half in a unit spread around but deck the front rank out in how you want them armed. Alot of orc players do this with orc boyz so i don't see why we can't do the same!
