I have a dwarf army from about 3000 points and within it I have metal hammerers, ironbreakers, a gyrocopter and several lords/hero's.
I have painted 5 ironbreakers but the paint does not stick well to the metal with the normal GW-primer. Does anyone have a suggestion of what other primer I can use???
Thanks in advance,
Make sure you clean your metal models with dish soap and warm water, give a wee scrub with a toothbrush and rinse, leave to dry and then prime again. Make sure you shake the can for 2 mins and spray in bursts from about 12" away.
Never had a problem with GW spray, infact I love the stuff the only other factor could be damp models or humid/cold air or even a dodgy can :s

for metal models, they still have some mold grease when they are dispatched, if you put them on soapped water then rinse them with toothbrush then wash with clean water and leave it to dry or dry with some tissues as muse said, i don't think you will face that problem again
