Lori Stonegaurd was a very honorable ironbreaker, until one fateful day his regiment was fighting with some greenskins deep within the mines of his hold. He missed a blow against the orc warboss that mistakingly landed on his Thane breaking his back later to be a fatal wound to the young yet honourable thane. Following the news of his Thanes death Lori took the slayers oath never to be Lori Stonegaurd ever again he became Lori Backbreaker.
Deamon slayer +1 ws +1 S +1 W
Dumb but tough: Lori has never been know for his brains however it is fabled among the dwarfs that Lori is the toughed beard in all the world. Therefore, Lori can never be wounded on higher than a 4+, however suffers from stupidity.
Spinebreaker: In Lori's travels through the chaos wastes he stumbled upon and ancient runic hammer this weapon gives Lori the strength and agility he needs to truly break backs. This runic hammer is a magic weapon that gives Lori the ability to reroll misses and also the Heroic killing blow special ability.
Shivering spines: Loris pressence on the field of battle is an unerving sight for his foes and and aweinspiring sight for his allies. All enemy units with 12" of Lori suffer -1 to their leadership -2 if they are in base with him when taking leadership and break test. All friendly units with 12" from Lori and reroll leadership and break test however at -1 to thier leadership.
I think he may be too powerfull but then again he doesn't have any armour or magic weapons so yeah let me know what you think!!!!

Is his name Lori or Snorri? Internal consistency problems there.
I would say you should give him a fancy runic weapon, and fold his Heroic Killing Blow into it. It's kind of weird to not have a fighting character (especially a Slayer) without a source of magical attacks. Secondly, you should throw a ballpark points figure out there. Right now, he looks like something in the 250-270 range.
aahh snorri that is the name I always give my dwarfs, but I wanted to change things up. What do you think of the new changes?
Upon further review, I think the "can't be wounded on better than a 4+" is a bit over the top. I would either up his price to about 275, or reduce it to "can't be wounded on better than a 3+".
yeah but he doesn't have armour at ALL like most lords and so for a lord that is 250 with no armour i think its ok since he has nothing else protecting him however you do make a valid point
I like this character but need him with Gotrex and Felix to make him worth it :-)
and Id go for frenzy over stupidity, slayers like to fight and know how to do that, but are always picking them

yeah i agree about the knowing how to fight but he would be OP'd if he had frenzy and you could only wound him on a 4+
You could just give him MRo Steel, so that any hit of S5 or more will only count as S5. Solves alot of your problems as it means he still wont be woundedon better than 4+ (except for magic abilities), and is unique as being an armour Rune you wont find other Slayers with it.
I would change the fluff about him finding the axe in the chaos wastes, its pret much Gotreks fluff about his axe if i remember rightly.
Im not sure theres any reason to change the stats of a daemon slayer, especialy the WS if the whole reason he is a slayer is becasue he not only missed his attack, but the follow through killed his thane. If anything i wouod give him the eternal hatred rule as that would fit his fluff, always being able to reroll to hit, not wanting to make the same mistake twice. It means you dont need this as an ability on the magic weapon and makes the character more rounded.
I dont think a dwarf should cuase fear or terror. If you want to make him imposing and reflect that in his rules, give a -modifier to Ld or Ld rolls to units in base contact or a certain distance away, it would better represent his unnerving presence rather than a horror.
ok i changed him up a bit what do you guys think?
Overall I like him. The weapon seems nice and suits the fluff. The thing that doesn't sit well with me is his final rule. I think it's too much. The side that gives heart to the dwarfs seems against the spirit of the slayers. In society slayers are shunned, they are basically no longer a member of the dwarven race as other dwarfs are concerned. So it seems a bit odd that a slayer can inspire what is basically a sense of pride in other dwarfs. I think that could do with a rethink.
