Are you sure that it works against magic missiles. Because my friend made me phone the mail order to ask. My argument was that since the description sais that you get the ward from ANY ranged attack wouldn't that mean that any attack that has a range would allow you that ward save. Even spells such as uranon's thunderbolt has a range, although it is not a migic missile and the range is anywhere it isn't close combat so its most definitely a ranged attack. For an army with ZERO armour it should be so, you still have to keep your troops withing range and if your slayer dies then the banner is gone. When I called the mailorder place in Canada the dipshit(sorry for swearing but thats exactly what he is) didn't know so he asked arund the store adn his response was that "I asked around and it seems like they only get it from arrows and stuff. It should specify that it also goes to magic missiles and spells." I'm sorry but I thought that the word ANY covered all possible ranged attack, meaning all possible attacks originateing at a range thats not melee. If there shold be a specification then the description should specify which attacks do not allow the ward save and provide examples. I'm sure the developers made that Rune to give the slayers a chance against range. How can you do that if your ward save doesn't prevent ranged attacks. The damn guys have NO ARMOR they deserve that ward save, 5+ isn't much to ask. I mean if they had to specify they wouldn't use the word any and I could make the argument that all ward saves can't be used at all. You're 2+ ward save doesn't specify that it stops organ guns or stone throwers or handgun bullets. only arrows and cannonballs.

Magic is magic, and are not ranged weapons, but It works for Missile magic, since its is shot and as a range.
It Stops from arrows to cannonball including anything in between, use common sense.

It does give you a save against magic missiles though.
