Well I've been playing dwarfs for a pretty short amount of time, but I was wondering. Did the dwarfs worship any type of god? I knew they liked Sigmar ( empires god) but didn't worship him. And if so do tell.

Thanks (Y)

Tyrion, you're thinking of Valten, and even he wasn't killed by archaon, just wounded quite badly. Sigmar simply disappeared into the mountains, or something along that line, I'm not experienced with fluff.

But yes, the Dwarfs worship Grugni, Valaya (Ancestor Goddess of the Dwarfs iirc) and Kurgaz, I believe.

Space Marines 0/0/0 (still under construction)

The Slayers worship Grimnir, at the Karak-Kadrin shrine.

The dwarfs actually worship a myraid of gods, ranging fromn Warrior God to God of the Underworld, but many of them are only really meantioned in WHRP. In the FB game only three gods are ever meantioned;

Grimnir - Warrior God
Grungni - God of Mining
Valaya - Goddess and protector

These are said to be the first real dwarfs, and every dwarven royal line can trace their blood back to one of these Ancestors. Grungni is the main one used, he's one who basically forged the dwarfs. He taught them the magic of runes, the art of mining and smithying. Grimnir is the warrior, he taught the dwarfs how to fight, how to be tough. He marched into the wastes to close the gates to the Realm of Chaos and to give the elven mage's time to syphon off the magic, Grungni in fact made him two powerful rune axes. One he kept for himself the other he gave to his son, this axe is now weilded by the High Kings of the dwarfs. Valaya is the Goddess of truth, she is also credited with the creation of many dwarf holds. It is said that the Priestess of Valaya can tell if someone is lying or not by just looking at them, her disiples are always female.

Flatfeet - Kurgaz was the creator of the Anvils of Doom, one of the greatest Runesmiths in exisitance but not a God.

If you can I suggest you try and get your hands on the WHRP source book called "Stone and Steel", whilst not everything can be taking or interprtaed into FB correctly much of it will give you a deeper look into the dwarfs exisitance. But as the company "Hogshead" has given up the licence you'll have a tough time finding copies of this now.

Dwarf women don't have beards, that's in LOTR. Dwarf women are rarely seen due to the fact that they are normally in their homes looking after their children and doing other tasks like that. But if you want proof, look for the model of Queen Helga. Plaits, no beard.
