I have a senario game on saturday and it will be in a lustria jungle. I will be allied with Lizardmen and we have to survive for 6 turns before our renforcements arrive. we each will get 2k points and our enemes will have 1.5k points each, thats 1 skaven or vc army, a dark elves, and a bredetonions or chaos army, thats 2k points against 4.5k points. We will have the superior defensive position, but when we destroy an enemy unit, they reappear at the table edge the next turn, heroes and generals do not reapear. And my friend who bought the lustria book says that all gunpowder using units that are in the jungle have to roll some sort of test to see if they can fire or not, this will cause a problem for my cannons and thunderers. this is what i am thinking about taking.
x-bow, about 40 or so
a flame cannon- i do not think it uses gunpowder so i am ok with that
a stone thrower,
and some worriors.
I might even take a guild exibition army, he he he...
You honestly want to survive this game, stock up on warriors and combat units. Shooting will be serverly hampered by the terrain and BP weapons could be deminished (its not that you need to roll to fire them, but on a 1 or a 6 good/bad things happen), I'd take probably some XBs and a ST/BT.
Other than that I'd get as many warriors, IBs, LB etc and heros as possible. If you're defending then I see no reason why you'd want o go running off, the blocks of infantry will just make it even harder for you to be shifted.
