well , hi people i just wanted to know wats the best way to kill Orc and gobbo fanatics, becuz i just had a game with them and they really did alot of damage :eek: !! but i still tied the game accoriding to the victory point chart and all but id like to know wat kills them fast well thx for ur help
your most powerful enemy is the one that has nothing to loose
well there is not alot you can do against fanatics. the only effective way ive seen of pulling them down is to use a gyro to hang at the rear of an advancing line and use it to lure them out (useually means a dead gyro) but this often lets you get the fanatics spinning inside their army rather than yours (rangers may work as well)
spambot kill tally: 79

[16:20] <@Kaiser-> I know he is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> He usually is.

make the fanantics panic. they have a woping Ld of 5, if you kill enough they should run.
Also the gyro is more effective than you think, as he flies, he doesn't get hit by the fanatic wich is on the ground when you pass above it. do this onn the first or second turn, and the fanatics will probanly screw is own battle plans big time.
WP - Fanatics are unbreakable, so panic won't work. But you could of course panic their parent unit, but most NGs will be 30+ strong and that's a lot to kill in a single turn. Also the gyro would be hit, you may set them off but they then stop and take the damage as per normal.KUOriginally Posted by Dire Wolf FAQ

you need to hold up the night goblin units with fanatics it them as soon as possible either gyro's to stop marching and release the fanatics or panic them from excess shooting especially either the gyro with its template or the flame cannon (any wound caused, causes immediate panic test) both are effective. if he does get to your lines the ignore them as much as poss as they are completely random and there is not much you can doabout them except possibly shoot them if you have no better targets. The other idea is miners appearing on the side of the table will make them scatter in surprise or rangers set up in terrain close to there deployment area as this will make them come out as well(not surprised thou). If all else fails write out another page in your book of grudges! :mad:
fanatics are only so good. but if the fanatics are released it can be on your turms. Say they have 3 fat units of night gobbos backed up by tons of orcs, run a gyro-copter behind the night gobbos setting loose 9(assuming they bought 3 for each unit) fanatics (225pts). Hey it may kill the gyro but its worth watching the chaos pursue. They'll be so busy with the fanatics you've all but won. Please correct me know if I'm wrong about the gyro copters movement but I do understand fanatics.
Although as a goblin player myself (as well as HE and TK) I must point out to you most people's tactics whilst using fantics.
You will find that the fanatic unit is ahead of the rest of the army so to protect it from the unleashing chaos. This is often a good tell tale if the opponent has a strong battleline normally. The greenskin player will often try to go for you strongest unit even if his night goblins are a ridiculous match. Try to make the fanatics be thrown out because of a tiny unit that if it had to, be killed.
I didn't see this mentioned, but you could shoot the fanatics with crossbows. (You have got crossbowmen right? ) Also even the greenskin army can shoot at the fanatics so if things are looking grim for them, they may do the dirty wok for you.
Hope this helps, cause I bet I'll be hung by an orc tribe leader for being a traitor!!!
Fancy giving up my life for a stumpy, arn't I generous!

when im playin O&G i normally save a flame canon shot for em that normal does unless general is near by
gryo works to but its a 140 pt gyro to kill 75 pts of fanatics
It may be a 140pt gyro but its a great tactical advantage to have 3 crazy gobbos plowing through the tightly packed blocks of orc infantry. And the o&g player will most likely have no arrer boys in line of site to stop them. Plus it would be an exciting game, and if your already losing try it once, if it deosn't work don't do it again
