i was recently thinking of making a kislev dwarf army. firstly where do you get the rules other than the 2004 compendium (WD 284 or somn like that but they dont sell it on the GW webpage anymore) also what would you field? i thought probably something like horse archers since they probably are good harassing units and then the dwarves could shoot down with warmachines until the slowed (marchblocked by archers) army got to something like thunderers with shields as your core choices, and then reform them into big blocks for combat then flank with the kislev guys. thx for ur input
The Gryphon Legion is one of the best cavalry unit is the game, that's glorious charge, S4 and I4 make them a tough charging unit. the only downside is thier 3+ save, but this gives them 8 mouvement, so not too bad of a drawback.
ungol archers will give you your money's worth for sure, fast cavalry for dwarfs!
the kosars aren't too bad themselves, put a boyard in there and you get a Ld 8 stubborn unit.
If you take Kislev's with dwarves you get a great thing..... Cavalry. So take Ungol horse archers for some fast cavalry, Gryphon Legion or Winged Lancers for Heavy Cavalry and Kossars for some cheap (compared to dwarfs) bowmen which can fight in HtH as well.
The rules can be found herehttp://oz.games-workshop.com/games/w...ev/default.htm .
