    I have a problem, help!

ok, i have been playing dwarves for a while now, and still have a problem with CC armies.
i sometimes win with a shooty army, and i have never won with a CC army, except for slayers, and thats only a few times.
please help me, any tactics, and deployment (especially deployments) will help alot, i always end up with my units being hit with multiple units and i cant seem to stop it from happening. i usually play against WE.Thanks in advance for yalls help.

I ahve a friend who plays a very CC dwarf army, wich only has a cannon and a unit of 10 thunderers.

You need your units to stay tightly packed, to prevent flanking and support your own this way. Always deploy a strong unit in the center, and some hard units of the outside.

You don'T need to deploy your army in the center, you can start slightly towards either side and take advantage of your opponent's longer time to get to you.

thanks wolf. which would be better for fighting WE a gyrocopter or a flame cannon?
the reason im having trouble is for a number of reasons.
    1. they both are template marmachines so they can shoot into CC.
2.the flame cannon has flaming attacks but it has no manuverablility.
    3. the gyrocopter is fast, and it could be very effective against elves, and its more accurate.

place that flame cannon tightly inbetween 2 infatry blocks, thigh enough not to be able to git a warhawk rider base, and he'll have to get close to get you.

the gyro will get shot down, or charged by the fast move/skirmishing units, and if you get tany close to the glade guard, like the employe at the KFC in family guys says: Was' rong with you, I say you he dead!

i was thinking of having IBs as my center unit, and maybe have a BSB with MRo taunting in them so that when hs sets up his units to charge then i can make his unit charge early and mess him up, do you think that would be good?

well actually I have had some succes with my gyro against low toughness units...like elves. The gyro is good for a couple of things against WE.

If the WE general deploy scouts in range to shoot at your dwarfs there are not much else to do than move forward and attack those units. But this is where the gyro comes in handy. With its good speed it can quickly dash those elves to the ground.

The other thing is to move around the terrain without getting in LoS for his units. The main targets for the units is mainly the archers or in some situations war dancers!

    Hope that could help ya

the template won't cover many skirmishing models, and still wounds on a 4+.

if the archers don't flee, you'll face 8-10 S4 arrows that will hit on a 4+ and wound on 5s likely to wound you seriously, and with a bit of luck, that the gyro out.

Just keep a tight formation and don't move up, make sure is dryads don'T sneak past you, make it to the edge if you have to.
