    Your favorite rare choice.

i was curious as to what most dwarf generals prefer, and why.

Beer, Pipes, and Guns... Dwarves had the right idea.

for me its the flame cannon.

nothing better than dropping that wonderful template on rank and file troops

ranked the 3rd best unit breaker in the game (yay for us) it is one of the most effective warmachines about and it has an impressive range for a flame wepon (12"+2-10+template)

Gyro is more versatile even though you don't have huge shooting power but it is great against wm crew, ranked shooters, march blocking, contesting table quarters and a few others I'm sure.

Gyrocopters are my choice as well. Their manouverability is invaluable. Once you know how to use them, you'll never look back.

The Gyrocopter, since manouvreability in a slow army like Dwarfs is priceless.

I meant to vote flame cannon for the reasons stated, but I accidentally voted for the organ gun which is my close runner up and i'd use it if more than 1 rare choice was available. (2000+ points)

I will go in a different way and say that the organ is the best...well perhaps just for me, because of the luck I dont know, but even though the range isent that great it still has str 5 -3 armour save..!! that says a lot...combined with a slow enemy/bad player/rune of slowness or luck it can be very deadly!
I have played against the bretts a few times and I always end up killing a bunch of them knights...last time I killed 6 grail knights in one shot! I know luck plays a big role but still...a good deployment can also do the trick

I had to go Dogs of War because I love the goblin hewer be it in a slayer list or a standard list. I have eaten so many units with it in close combat or at range that it quickly became one of my favorite "dwarven" units. I prefer pure dwarf list so I tend to stay away from Kislev or Ogre allies when I play. If you can't do it with a Hewer then you obviously need Drongs Slayer Pirates. They have all the great staying power of the slayers but an 8" range 2 S4 -2 AS attacks and are just brutal, but the best thing is that they have some of the best models in the dwarven line after Longbeards and Iron Breakers.

having been minced time and time again by that damn organ its gotta be that im afraid.

makes mince meat out of any screeners i use (VCs).

the gyrocopter is amazing against rank and file troups, but its far too easy to chase down with a powerful hero.

not yet played against the other, but i really despise having to chase down the organ gun, all seems well until you get a volly right into your troups... never nice.
