Sorry, ive been absent for awile and I was just wondering how the new book is. Is it an improvement? What is different?
Thanks in advance.
I once was dark, now im light.
Out now. Not a dramatic change, but definitely imrovements in the slayer army:yes: !
Actually there are some significant improvements. A quick laundry list:
Shield Bearers for Lords
Anvil in shooting phase
Longbeards now an upgrade to warriors
Miniers moved to special
Thunderer's nerfed a bit with their rule change. This has made them more static which is not good with the slowest army (Except with in 8") on the board.
Apprentice Engineer upgrades to warmachines
War machine psychology changed
Slayers no longer a 0-1 choice, but require additional slayer characters to field more
Hammerers psychology changed
Other than that point changes across the board are common.
Runes have been revamped (MRofGrungni, Kragg the Grim) with additions and removal of some (Kadrin).
All in all it is now a more dymanic list. If you don't have the book it is definetly worth getting. I am almost convinced to buy an Anvil now, something that I wouldn't do under the last edition where I owned all the models minus the engineer and anvil.
Anyway, the changes are definitely for the better:Originally Posted by Thunderer

I think that the runelord in a chink in the new book.
