I am not posting this as a question, as I use gyrocopters all the time.
Just post your comments about them here!
Its diffenetly worth the points. With the big damage area and -1 armour save it can take down light infatry/cavalry/scouts/crewman and so on. Just be carefull it dosent get shot at. Cuz then it wont last for long.
the gyro is a very good investment.
its role in the army is pretty much a warmachine/light unit hunter/march blocker. if used correctly it will maul most of its targets and is nnow pretty good in combat (US3 , 2 S4 attacks)
spambot kill tally: 79
[16:19] <@Alzer> Arky's right though
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> I know he is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> He usually is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> Sometimes it's intentional.
[00:01] <+zubus> i love you, ya skirt wearin nothern monkey! ^_^
I am not a dwarf player but can say that being on the receiving end of a gyrocopter is a pain in the bum. The march blocking is inconvenient and when the steam cannon opens up on low leadership troops it can cause havoc. Thank god you can't put the rune of invisibility on it anymore :w00t:
Helper monkey, bring me beer and donuts
Its ashame really. The rune of disguise dosn't work, because as soon as the gyrocopter moves the rune is lost.Originally Posted by Lurch
The gyrocopter works most of the time, but it was painful when I lost one once in the first turn to missile fire
Don't be scared to use them.

if i play 2000 points i will take an organ gun and a gyrocopter.it really is a pain in the bum for enemy armies:shifty: .
it's the only dwarf unit with high movement.I totally agree with the rest because it is a good wizard/crew... hunter and it can slow down the enemy and take some more pounding from the shooting phase.about the steam gun,it's not a canon but it works fine.
Also great at drawing out Fanatics... just make sure there is more than 1"-2" between you and the enemy blocks so you can drag their fanatics through thier units.
Good idea, never thought about that...Originally Posted by Thunderer
will try it. :yes:
They rarely make up their points in straight kills, but if used correctly will earn their points in strategic value.
Wood Elves 2/0/1
Orcs & Goblins 0/1/0
Next Army - Tomb Kings
I know what you mean, if it holds up the enemy for a couple of turns you could add up the kills that war machines made and add it to the gyrocopter's kills!Originally Posted by Pokey
I wish that they still had bombs.
