Welcome to Librarium Online!
Is this true?
I'm interested in Dwarfs, but heard that a new battleset will be avail in the summer?
Any info on this?
wow, i know the dwarfs already have a battleforce for around £100 but i haven't heard anything abt a new one.
It would seem a little silly for GW to do it though, that would mean that dwarfs would have a battalion and two battleforces! What about the other races:cry:
I don't think they will do anything like this either, since they have already revamped the Dwarfs. In this case they will have 1 battalion and 2 armies, and other races don't have any at all. Maybe you're thinking about the new Dwarf minis...
"Well... that hurt" - Vampire Jon Skellan (Mannfred's right hand man) after being beaten up, falling down an underground waterfall and being impaled by a stalactite.
i think you probably mean the new Warhammer starter set- Battle for Skull Pass, which has Dwarfs and Goblins as the new armies- the minis are the new warriors and thunderers and cannon but with a few new bits and bobs (plastic miners anyone?)
anyway here you go: http://uk.games-workshop.com/downloa...ges/sp-wh1.jpg
PLAN CLAN MAN!!
He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man- S. Johnson
This is what I was told about..many thanks!
I think that the dwarfs in that picture are different again from the new multipart plastic ones. It looks like they are single part models (or at least maybe multipart, but with less variation options). I think they'll be like the orcs with 2 hand weaps that come with the boxed game compared to the boxed orc regiment set.
With the boxed games all models are usually plastic and fewer variations (ie lots of double ups), so I think all the pieces in that photo will be plastic.
Look at the thunderers - they are all the same.
I can see only 2 or 3 variants of the warriors, so their arms are likely to be molded with the bodies.
The cannon has 4 wheels -- the current one has 2 and a different shaped chassis.
the models are indeed slightly different as the dwarves are "clip together" models whic are less customisable but alot easier to build in comparison.
as you can see the models do look different and feature one or two freebie one off extras like the gold cart
