I've been browsing the forums and a lot of people seem to deploy their dwarves in units of 20. I'm wondering is this 5 ranks of 4 (fewer attacks, bigger flanks, kill 5 to lose rank bonus) or 4 ranks of 5 (more attacks, smaller flank, kill 2 to lose rank bonus)?
It is the number of ranks AFTER the fighting rank that determine rank bonus correct? so to get +3, you'd need 4 ranks (1 fighting and 3 for bonus).
I usually deploy units of 25 for a cc unit (5 attacks, kill 7 to lose rank bonus). Why do people feel 20 to be better? Are the extra 50ish points just too much?
25 is a good number, i usually take warriors in units of 24 (room for character) and my elite units in 19/20 (character permitting)
I also like a five wide frontageAye this is correct(Y)It is the number of ranks AFTER the fighting rank that determine rank bonus correct? so to get +3, you'd need 4 ranks (1 fighting and 3 for bonus).
