ThorMace had a wonderful idea for us stunties, start a great book of grudges, to keep record of hideous and treacherous deeds done against our proud race.
here's the from for you to state your grudge:
Offender: Grobbi. 2000 pts game, king of the hill
Grudge to settle: Foul use of Waaagh! magic, resulting in the death of a whole score of longbeards! May the ancestors cursed thier filthy hides!
Grudge settled: The vile shaman fell to some proper dwarf steel when in met the axe of dragon slayer. With him fallowed 21 grobbi before falling to is glorious death.
I haven't been playing Warhammer for long, so I don't have much yet, but here's one.
Offender: The Night Grobi of the Depths in a 650 point battle for a Gateway in my noble fortress. They left no survivors.
Grudge to Settle: Following the way of the Elves in the use of Magics, killing my great warriors and cursing the dice against me. Also the whirling abominations for slaying my Thunderers, damaging a Cannon and killing a Slayer in a most unhonourable way.
Grudges Avenged: The Shaman felll to my Allies bullets (Empire), but those whirling Grobi evaded punishment, and slew many of the Emperors loyal bodyguards.
Offender: The minions of the Greenskin Warlord Bad Legg, in a 1000 pt battle for the plains of Koz.
Grudge to Settle: As the loyal forces of teh dwarven clans moved to engage the Greenskin menace we were met with an array of Greenskin Artillery, though nothing the Greenskins make should bear the name "artillery". These rude conterfits of bolt throwers and some sort of throwing contraption that lauched their own troops through the air dashed the warriors of the warriors of the clan to and fro. As we made our way toward their line we were met with overwelming ranged attacks, no doubt these greenskins must have raided a dwarven caravan and taken stole weapons of dwarven make. When we made it to engage the enemy drugged and crazed greensjins lept forth from the ranks of the little green ones and ripped into our ranks. Many good dwafs went to the gods that day and the green ones must pay with their heads.
"...and we shall pave our path to the gods with the Skulls of our fallen foes."
I am happy to report that my Dwarfs avenged a serious grudge from their esteemed book of grudges:
Offender: The foul powers of Tzeentch, who used their magical powers to kill many fine Dwarfs earlier this year.
Grudge avenged: Today, my Thane returned with the wondrous news that many Horrors, Screamers and even an Exalted Daemon of Tzeentch met their end at the end of an Axe.
Wood Elves 2/0/1
Orcs & Goblins 0/1/0
Next Army - Tomb Kings
This entry is here on request.
Offender: An overpowered Night Goblin hero worth 258 points, who obliterated 500 points worth of my army in a 700 point game from Turn 1.
Grudge Settled: The hero was brought low by my Slayer late int eh game, but he had done too mcuh damage amongst my ranks to sit idly by.
Grudge to Avenge: Not only must this hero be killed many times over, but every Orc, Night Goblin, Goblin, Black Orc and anyone else in his Waaagh! must be slain. The Dwarves of Karak Ingurg are expecting the arrival of a Flame Cannon at some stage soon. A suitable punishment for these Greenskins is by burning.
How the rest of LO can help: Wherever you face Orcs and Goblins, slay all of them without remorse. This is a grievous grudge that will take a long time to settle.
I don't know about anyone else, but my Dwarfs steam-roll the enemy. If I lose 5 figs in a 2000 point battle, it's a major loss. The worst thing that's ever happened was my Ironbreakers ran away after failing a terror test, and after failing their Old Grumblers re-roll.
Then again, the people I play against can't deploy their way out of a paper bag...
