I love some of the dwarf special armylists, escpecially the War of the Beard one. The thing is that after the new armybook got released none of these have been updated in any way. As the FAQ explains (for the Slayer Army) we are supposed to field our troops exactly the way described so long ago so I suppose this goes for the rest of the armylists too.
Does anyone know if these armylists are going to be updated in the near future? I hate using some of the old rules (especially runes) while I know the new ones are far better...

I'd say assume not unless you hear otherwise elsewhere. They seem to have moved on from dwarf lists for the time being.

I'm currently in the process of putting together (a completely random but fun) army list comprised entirely of piratey Dwarf (and other races) models. Theres a lot of new stuff, and its very heavily insired from Long Drong's Slayer Pirates. I'll post it up eventually - when its nearing completion. I really only made it A) Because I felt like it. Everyone knows Pirates are better than Ninas. and C) The GW folks have already made a "Ninja" (really its Skaven Clan Eshin, but same difference) list, so I did it to get back at them. More soonly.
Yes, but Vikings are better then Pirates OR Ninjas.
Actually, I think the evolutionary chain works something like this:

planning on eventually putting together a Norse dwarf army based on the dwarves from the northern hold of Kraka Drak, should be entertaining.

o.O Sounds fancy. My Slayer PIrates will be beaten dem though, nearly every model comes with full "Festooned with Pistols" action! And 10 points of articulation.
