Default Eldar 1000 First List

Avatar

Banshees, 6, Exarch with War Shout and Excecutioner

Scorpians, 6, Exarch with Shadowstep and Claw

Dire Avengers, 8, Exarch with 2 Shiricats, Bladestorm.

Pathfinders, 5

Warp Spiders, 6, Exarch with Power Blades, Spin Rifle, and Withdraw

3 D Cannons

Guard and MEQs will be my main opponents.

ATM, working with the minis I have (hence the squads of six). Would bulking up one of my Aspect Warrior squads be a good idea, at the expense of something else?

Banshees on foot in small numbers just don't last long. People know how scary they are with a whole squad of power weapons and they will be shot to bits before they get close. I would recommend dropping these or giving them a transport.

What about increasing the squad side to 10? Would that increase their survivability enough to matter?

I was planning on having them to be more of a reserves unit. Keep the enemy occupied with the spiders, scorpians, DAs, and pinned with the Pathfinders, and have worry a lot about the Avatar getting close, and have the Banshees fleet into a combat that one of the beforementioned had started. I'm imagining a lot of cover hiding for them, at least for part of the game.

Banshees really need a wave serpent.

Your list is all over the place with the kinds of units you have. Sure eldar have lots of different units, and they need to support them, but they also work best when you have a solid plan in mind. Think about what you want your army to do, and how you want it to play.

General thought for me would be to remove one of the CC units ( I would pick the banshees because as said they don't do well on foot ) and use the points to fill out the other CC unit and DAs.
