    First Mech Eldar list 1500 and 1750....

    Hey, i have talked in the mech eldar thread about starting a Mech Eldar army, so i have had a go at a couple of Lists properly (not guesses, as the one i wanted, doens't work for 1500 (too expensive), and doesn't really leave me with many options for 1750....)

    I will start with 1750, as it will be the first torney i will do with this list:

    HQ:
    Seer Council-430
    -Farseer 175
    (Jetbike, Spirit Stones, Doom, Fortune, Runes of Warding)
    -Warlocks x5 255
    (Jetbikes, Embolden, Enhance, 1x Destructer)

    Autarch 84
    (Banshee Mask, Power Weapon, lasblaster)

    ELITES:
    Howling Banshees x10 192
    (Exarch, executioner or mirrorswords, War Shout, Acrobat)
    -Wave Serpent 125
    (Spirit Stones, Scatter Laser)

    Troops:
    Dire Avengers x10 152
    (Exarch, two shuriken catapults, Bladestorm)
    -Wave Serpent 125
    (Spirit stones, Scatter laser)

    Dire Avengers x10 152
    (Exarch, two shuriken catapults, Bladestorm)
    -Wave Serpent 145
    (Spirit stones, Brightlance)


    Heavy:
    Fire Prism 115
    Fire Prism 115
    Fire Prism 115

    1750 on the dot somehow....
    I will explain a couple of things,
    I really like the idea of the reserve tactic (but i can see how easy it is, for it to fail as well....) so have the Autarch, (his lasblaster, is because i had 1 piont spare )
    I really like the Seer Council, and thought, well bikes, are still kinda mech, well there not, but they float plus it will be a chance to do some converting/work on the army. I was going to give the Farseer both runes, but thought with the Warlock's re-roll thing, its not worth having the 3d6 one for himself....(does it work for pshycic tests?)
    3 Fire Prisms and 3 Wave Serpents can't go wrong there, i may also have a unit of Scorpains, incase the Banshees die to easily....although then the Autarch wouldn't look right in that unit

    I will do my 1500 one later, but don't feel up to it atm (it won't have a Seer council in it i may just drop the warlocks, the jetbike, and maybe the Autarch, and try and fit another Farseer in.... not sure though....)

    Way to few Troops. You need at LEAST 3, 4 would be better. Eldar lists usually get 1 big shiny unit, you have 2. I'd ditch the Banshees, mount the Autarch as part of the Council and use the points for Troops. You can get Bike Squads or Storm Guardians w/ Flamers in Serpents.

    Prisms are becoming less and less useful more Eldar players are discovering, it's to easy to stop their shooting. I'd consider other HS options or at least test them first.

    I was kinda going on the advice of the Mech thread, and they say Prisms are better than Falcons (plus i would only get 2 Falcons for the price of 3 Prisms), and just out of my own game experiance, the more troop i have, the less likely i am to win, as my troop do nothing and it seems that was a lot of the time, such as my friends orks, his Boyz do vrey little (all 90 of them) but his two squads of 8 Nobz do (well they are troops, with the warbosses, but there an elite at heart) and i just think Dire Avengers do not put out the same damage as Banshees, and die just as easliy
    I don't really know what to do.....

    Well the less Troops you have the less games you'll win if you play against people who know what they're doing. I don't know who/where you play though. Eldar Troops are pretty good, DAs hide in a Serpent until something is weak enough to Bladestorm than hop back in. Storm Guardians do the same and are a little better in a fight.

    Pathfinders are kind of crappy but they're cheap, them or Guardians do the sameish job.
