I paint my Iyanden with Dark Angels green as a primary and Shadow Grey as a secondary(i still include the craftworld heraldry) and most people compliment me on my choice of scheme in that it really gives the army a feeling of sadness and brings across the point that they are on deaths door.

I paint some of the units in my army yellow & blue, usually the grunts such as guardians. The rest I paint whatever colours I feel like. My wraithguard are gloss purple with copper joints and a red and gold wraithcannon. Also the codex says yellow contrasted with blue OR red, something most people overlook.

Yeah, but i thought of a way cooler theme for mine now. See i'd prime them white. And lets just use a wraithlord as an example. So i would then paint it over with chaos black. So it would be a lighter feel of black. Then i would make the iyanden flames bleached bone. I would make the guns for them maybe redish, and gold and stuff(not sure yet). And anyway if you've seen or read the lord of the rings, well you know how sauromon(i dont think i spelt that right), the white wizard on the evil side. Well you know how he would always make the mark of the white wizard on his orcs with white hand prints. Well i would make the palms of the avatar's hands all white and then make markings in the middle of like wraithlords head of the hand mark. And give my army a sad feel with the dark colors, but also give it a awesome like almost like they'll kick your ass feel.

So what do you think? Should i change some of my ideas?

We have a bit of a rules problem here. Lets have a look at the Iyanden section in the Craftworld Eldar Codex:

"Any number of Warlocks in the army may be upgraded to Spiritseers for +X pts each and follow the rules given below."*

Seems fine, but then it says:

"Character: Spiritseers are characters, but may not move on their own. They must be assigned to join a Wraithguard squad, replacing the Warlock entry in the army list."*

Here it says they may only be assigned to Wraithguard units, so it doesn't look like you can include them within your Guardian squads, thus rendering yuor tactic illegal.

*Please note that this information comes form the 2nd (and most up to date) printing of Codex: Craftworld Eldar.

Ok. So, we're paying +X points for a leadership increase for a unit that doesn't take pinning or morale checks; and the ability to help Wraithguard within 6", which is pretty redundant giving that every squad is likely to have its own Warlock or Spirit Seer.

Doesn't seem too worthwhile to me.

Edit: Oops. Exact points value removed.
