GrabYourGlocks is becoming decadent
Default mindwar=destruction

I had a small battle aginst necrons and darkeldar they had 850 pts each and i had 1500. I was ulthwe and ofcourse the council. 4 Of my guys had mindwar and the first round, i gave 2 wounds to a talos, killed a darkeldar lord, killed 1 destroyer and put 1 wound on the necron destroyer lord just with mindwar, so you can guess what happened the rest of the game ^_^ . Also scatter lasers word wonders on darkeldar troops. If the c'tan nightbriger is so hard to kill, why not just mindwar it with your council, your bound to give it at least 1 wound if you roll 4 times...

I'm thinking of starting ulthwe and wondered if you could have 2 seer councils as your HQ choices

no, you could make your 1 council big though, but the points can get out of hand

you got within 18 inches of a those guys. i don't think you could have done this i'm not going to explain the rules of mind war but this seems highly unlikely if you have them right

with augment you can play some nice games with augment.... taking 4 however is a little extreme and over the top, but hey if you want to go for it. In addition, what was the necron player fielding? I know plenty of necron players who would have deepstruck the lord with that item (forgot the name) then rapid fired your seer council

Its the classic 'Sniper Council!' The reason to take it over D-Cannons are that with augment it has a longer range and terget picking. Theat kind of council will sytematically work through your most expensive mini's killing them one after the other. Characters, sargeants, Heavy and special weapons. It is a nasty power, and if you field 5 Seers, give one fortune and the rest Mind War and snipe away!
Moving a unit with a lord out alone to attack them is suicide for the unit, and if they are fortuned they wont even notice, maybe 4 wounds if its 10 immortals. The eldar will wipe youor unit out and youv'e killed 1 seer, high price.....
