I was quite surprised by the lack of Alaitoc conversation on this site and the popularity of Ulthwe. I was geting a little bored of Ulthwe I decided to see if anyone agreed with me that Alaitoc are one of the best craftworlds eldar can offer. If anyone agree's with me, wants to discuss Alaitoc or has any queries about them please go ahead and post.
I think aliatoc are undoubtably the best "40k in 40 mins" Eldar army because of the disruption table, in a low points game this is very effective due to lack of numbers and as for the Ulthwe Black Guardian advantage well they are only compulsory troops which, "40k in 40 mins", is only one troop choice.

Yes finally another open alaitoc player. What is the disruption table. I'm pretty new to it. My freinds and are starting to play 40k in 40 minutes and hopefullly it will help me a little more. Is it in craftworld codex.

The disruption table is as follows, for every ranger or pathfinder unit in the army a d6 is rolled (once both sides have deployed but before first turn) and each different number has a different effect the higher the dice roll the better the effect e.g an enemy unit starts the battle pinned. The pathfinder rules and detailed disruption rules are indeed in codex craftworld eldar.

Not many takers in this catagory are there o well. I dont read my codex much but can eldar pathfinders shoot before the game starts. And i cant seem to find it any where in the codex but i found it in an old white dwarf. A game that is where it was used.

I have never lost with my 750pts alaitoc army list and i dont plan to (4 units of 3 rangers, 2 units of 3 pathfinders, 3 wraithlords and an avatar) I have been thrown out of my shop numerous times for having an 'overly-cheesy' army and every time I enter a tournament in my shop or on the phone, when I say that im using alaitoc eldar I get the response "You beardy sod!"

The problem with Alaitoc is that it's easy to cheese them out like the above example. I am creating Alaitoc army, but I'm going to stick to the fluff. These guys are rangers so I'm trying to stick with an Anamail aspect warriors such as Hawks and Scorpions and maybe spiders. I'll of course have my rangers in there, but I can't see having an Avator or Wraithlords as it just doesn't seem to fit the theme. Besides, what's the fun of winning all of the time? That's boring army if you ask me. People want to be able to have chance at winning.

Hi folks,

Don't give up hope, there are alaitoc players out there, I think they are by far the best army in terms of style.

I've just posted my new army list somewhere else so I won't repeat it, but that 750 point list... I like it a little too much.

Anywho, just lending my support Alaitoc Rock!
