Ranger/Pathfinder uses?

I use a 5-man squad in almost every game. They kill a few tyranid warriors, tau suits and a few marines here and there. Sometimes their rapid-firing pistols(old codex) also took out a stray passing unit of gaunts.

But mostly they just sit in a building, causing pinning test, holding the terrain feature and forcing the opponent to deal with them. And they survive a lot more than the opponent thinks, so they save something else.

Most of my games they are still at the table by the end of the game. However, deployment is crucial!
