    FC. Most of the time you can only get 6-7 in combat at a time anyway.

    might be misstaken, but didnt think you could put a Champion/music/banner in a detacment, meaning you cant have a Hochland long rifle in the detachment... just making sure.

    Yes, i was mistaken. the first time i read it i could of sworn you were allowed Champions, but not Banners/Musicians. but after re-reading it, i must of missed the part of no champions. Anyways, i Revised my list and now have this.

    I only have 1 concern with your list. You are going to get chewed up in the magic phase.

    A scroll caddy would add some much needed magic defense for a reasonable cost.

    not necessarily, if his opponent only takes 1 character like him, he may never even get a decent spell cast his way. If the opponent take 3 spell casters, he'll get burned until the knights hit hard. At this point level, you really can't afford more than 1-2 characters for normal people (some people play differently than I do) and of course an all goblin force will hurt him pretty hard if he had 2-3 shaman, but he has 2 DD, he just will need to use them judiciously. I'm more concerned with 2 cannnons. Cannons are great for blowing up large targets, chariots and the like (I guess they could also kill 3-4 rank and file guys) but having 2 in a small point battle seems like overkill. I think a unit of pistoliers would suit you better. But that's just me.

    The Reason im taking 2 Cannons at such a small point game, is because theres several Cheese whores around who like to take Big Monsters at smaller point games. I plan to add Pistoliers at higher point games though, but right now my budget is kind of locked, so i wont be getting more stuff for some time.

    I've been playing against the new VC a lot. At 1500 pts, they'll probably have at least 2 Vamps and 7 power dice, plus bound spells in carts & items...

    Granted, VC are the extreme, but most armies will bring some magic. 115 points(or even 90 w/ only 1 scroll) is a small price to pay for a lot more effective defense IMO.

    I'd go for 5 Handgunners in each detachments, since it would be awful hard to deploy a row of 10 handgunners. Are you thinking two Handgunner-detachments for each Swordsmen-regiment? If you take only one detachment each, of five-six soldiers - then you could make another Handgunner-unit of 10 w/ Hochland Long Rifle. This way you could have two snipers to handle Wizards/Characters

    i always like hammer and anvil tactics. although i think you should change one cannon for 5 knights for another hammer.
    i think that your list could benefit from a BSB because the general im guessing is off galavanting with the knight. so the state troops could definatly benefit from higher ld. and/or you could take a warrior priest for DD and to put ledership across most of your army, you could maybe give van horstans to take care of some characters that have been weakened/got by the long rifle.
