here is my first attempt at creating an empire list for all comers. my biggest question is whether i should take 30 halbediers as the parent unit or the 30 swordsman as the parent unit. currently i thought that swordsman had better surviveablity and that halbiders 6 + save would be less of a liability when used as detachment but i could be wrong. my detachmnets are big because in my gaming group people tend to charge both the parent unit and the detachment simo. In addtion i can also swap out the 12 man handgunners for a hellbalster if people think that would be more competive. without further ado i bring you the list.
Luther Huss (attachs to knights) 180
Bruce the battle standard bearer. (attaches to swordsman) 138

Randolph level2 celestian wizard (usually attachs to a handgunner unit) 135

My main concern would be your anti magic. 4dd and1 scroll if I read correctly.
(Not sure what a wizard staff does). This is not nearly enough.
Swords men are better as parent units by the way. Hand gunners are better in my experience than hell blasters as it is so all good thier.
He would get 5 DD and a scroll, which is enough magic defence in my opinion, i play my wood elves with 3 DD and suffices against most lists except maybe deamons of chaos ( tzeeeentch) ,slan list or teclis list
on to the list
i would say trim down the unit of knights 9 is way to big for heavy cav make them 6 strong at the most ( with luther ). take the two units of swordsmen down to 25, and also take the unit of hand gunners down to 10 rather than 12.
with the points over i would make Pyro lvl 2 and you should have enough points left to get some pistoliers or another cannon.

Thanks, it is helpfull, as an update I realized in rereading my army book that my 15 man det are illeagal so instead i reduced them to 10 men each added a 5 man free company detachment to one of my hangunners and gave pyro the level 2 upgrade. as for the 9 inner circle knights i have found them to be a difference maker as in my last game when i fell for a bait and switch and they survived getting flank charged by 2 tuskigor chariots and then overran into his ubber general's unit on the flank and throught attrition won out. my concern at 6 is survivability. I currently use this unit as my hammer with my swordsman as an anvil. Is there a better combination for my list ?
