- armour of M.iron,
- extra hand weapon,
19 halberdiers, full command. (Warrior Priest here.);
Okay, so this will be my first fantasy army in 2 years,
my main opponent will be my brother, who is restarting
with me. He will have beastmen, and expect at least
What I think is good about your list is the variety in shooting, so you're equipped to take down stuff from long(er) range, and the heavily-armoured stuff should the need arise.
That said, I'm not too sure I'd rely on that unit of Halberdiers. To my mind, they're not really something I'd use as a main unit. Great as a detachment if you want to kill stuff, but not so brilliant as a main unit. I'd go Spearmen or Swordsmen myself. You'll easily have the points to go with unshielded Spearmen. I would make that change, and I also recommend getting a couple of Detachments. You can go with 9 Halberdiers and 5 Handgunners if you drop a shooting unit. That will make your main unit that much more reliable (but Chariots are a killer. That Cannon will have a field day).
As to your WP, I've always been a little dubious of the AoMI myself, because in my experience, characters tend to die A) in challenges B ) by being run down by pursuing enemies. Something that helps a unit remain steadfast in the face of something scary, or one of the super-awesome Bound Spells we get may be a bit more useful. Just my opinion.
Hope this helps.
thank you very much, for helping me. rep for you
About the halberdiers, I've always liked the idea, and thought that the +1
strength would help.
My priest is to just induce hatred, and give anextra couple of s4 hits.
The armour is an added bonus to keep him safe from the savage
just something i noticed couldn't you get a 2+ save in cc or a 3+ normal on the warrior priest which is pretty good for much much less? OK you drop 1 attack but you'd have 19 points spare to buy a common magic sword or some of the other stuff?
-he descended from the heavens to spread bluegrass to those with 5 toes.-"
That list should do fine against Beastmen. I'd certainly take one of the missile units as a detachment - it'll come in useful when you get charged.
